The evil runs deep in Numenor

Being in Tolkien/Númenor/Ar-Phârazon mood lately thanks to Turner-Mohan, a fellow deviantartist, who I also credited as inspiration in my newest deviation, I did this drawing. Here Ar-Phârazon is much older than before, and is in Númenor, at his side, Sauron as High-Priest of Melkor and councillor to the Númenor's king. The two are guarded by a paor of royal guards, wearing the Numenorian karma. In the background the imposing bulk of Morgoth's temple, it's dome sorrounded by the smoke coming from the sacrificial fires inside it.

You may notice I used a Renaissance artwork as reference and inspiration again, this time "The Tower of Babel" by Bruegel, an artwork I though fitting, the inmense pride of a people destroyed by God himself, Babel's Tower colapsed and such did Númenor. Byzantine, XVth and XVIth century influence in there, as you would notice.
