King of the Stepstones: Daemon Targaryen

The Rogue Prince, Daemon Targaryen, half-villian, half-hero, loved and hated, Daemon left no one indifferent. He was able of the greatest debauchery and the utmost excellence, impersonating the best and the worst of his dynasty. When he left Viserys I's court he decided to carve a Realm on his own, with the help of his father in law, Corlys the Sea Snake. He and his dragon, Caraxes, the Blood Wyrm, defeated and battled for years the pirates and the Three Sisters (Lys, Pentos, Myr) single-handily.

Here I depicted a young, but mature, Daemon, wielding Dark Sister defiantly while riding his dragon, Caraxes, which I imagined should be far smaller than years later, when he was a formidable beast, and resembling his nickname, "Blood Wyrm" a long, nimble, vicious and menacing dragon. Yes, it is my first take on a dragon and I HOPE I didn't fail horribly painting it. Daemon wears an outfit inspired in one appearing in a depiction of Louis I of Flanders, who died at Crecy.

One of the greatest characters created by G.R.R. Martin and one of the main characters of both the "Dance of Dragons" and the "Rogue Prince" novellas.
