Description
Charles de Valois, brother of Philip IV the Handsome, uncle to Louis X, Philip V and Charles IV, father to Philip VI, but never achieved to be a King himself, not for lack of trying, however. He even claimed the ghost crown of the Latin Empire. Ambitious and proud he succeed in the end, as his son, Philip count d'Anjou was crowned as King after Charles IV the Handsome died.
I've to apologize as I imagined him with the prototypical Valois nose! Well all the Valois have a prominent nose and interbreeding make it worse... He wears a rich attire with embroidered fleur de lys and lined with ermine.
Another prominent character in the Accursed Kings book series.

Given that mighty nose it's hard to imagine him as anything but a prominent character!
. . .
Is it just me or is there actually something about this character that makes one think 'Viserys II' by virtue of his stern countenance and not-quite-royal trappings? (there's something ever-so-slightly serpentine about the sidelong look he's giving his audience to boot!).
